68370 of cancer "In december I informed you about the illness of Cas de Beus. I regret that I didnot inform you in time about the passing away of Cas. That was on March 27. His cremation service was on April 2 and it was attended by well over 200 people.
Three weeks before he died he was taken into hospital because he had a lot of problems with his lungs. In two weeks time the doctors drained his lungs twice, but everytime the problems started again. So one week before his death they send him home. During his last days he was very calm and knew very well that his final days had come. When Uli came down from her bedroom on the morning of the 27th she found him dead in his hospital bed in the living room. He laid there in a way that showed no signs of disstress, so probably he died very calmly. We were all very happy for him that his suffering has ended, but especially his sons had a difficult time with the loss of their father." from Bob Buiter
