  • Notes
    • "Mama runs the house. She laughs a lot but I'm not sure she's all that happy with life. It's just work, work, work... I think Baba (Ali) leaves most of the time to just get away. But this family doesn't fight like others I've been in. Everyone says this is an unusually peaceful family here." Rob
    • Aicha still owns land at the oasis, and I think Said farms it.
    • When Aicha was young, there were no schools in the oasis, she and her brothers had no schooling, but worked hard at manual labour on the farm.
